Orange VFX Studios is on the lookout for a skilled and motivated Junior to Mid-Level Video Editing Instructor to teach at Orange Seed Academy, our training division. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid foundation in Premiere Pro who wants to grow as a trainer while shaping the next generation of African editors through hands-on classes, mentorship and real-world projects.

• Teach engaging video editing classes covering editing, colour grading and audio mixing on the Academy’s Weekday and Saturday tracks.
• Support or co-teach the Advanced Video Editing Masterclass in Premiere Pro, guiding students through a portfolio-ready capstone campaign.
• Deliver lessons through the Seed LMS and record online sessions so students can catch up on anything they miss.
• Mentor students on Discord, giving clear, timely feedback on assignments and projects.
• Build real-world project briefs that reflect studio work, and keep course content current with industry and AI-assisted workflows.
• Help students switch from CapCut or Final Cut Pro to Premiere Pro using the Academy’s bridge material.
• Track student progress and flag students who are falling behind to the Academy team.
• Assess final projects and help every student finish a showreel or portfolio piece.
• Support Summer Camp (Editing with CapCut, ages 8–16) and corporate training sessions when scheduled.
• Submit weekly and monthly class reports on time.

• At least 1 year of professional experience in video editing for commercials, film, TV or digital platforms.
• Strong working knowledge of Premiere Pro and CapCut.
• Certificate, diploma or degree in Film, Video Production, Media or a related field is preferred.
• A good grasp of storytelling, pacing, colour and sound in edited work.
• Excellent communication skills, with the patience to explain technical ideas to beginners of all ages, from teenagers to working professionals.
• Comfort teaching both in person and online using video-call and learning platforms.
• Reliability and punctuality for scheduled weekday and Saturday classes.
• A portfolio or demo reel showcasing your editing work.

• Teaching, tutoring or mentoring experience, including workshops or one-to-one coaching.
• Colour grading in DaVinci Resolve or Premiere Pro’s Lumetri tools.
• Motion graphics and titles in After Effects.
• Audio clean-up and mixing in Adobe Audition.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted editing tools for transcription, captions and rough cuts.
• Short-form and social media editing for Reels, TikTok and YouTube.
• Final Cut Pro experience, to help students moving to Premiere Pro.
